Sexual violence is a disturbing reality and the level of this phenomenon in Lubumbashi particularly so. According to the attached article a police team set up in April 2010 recorded 2000 cases in the first 5 months of its existance. This begs the question how many other cases go unreported leaving victims suffering in silence.
