'Cinema Kimbilio' opened her doors this afternoon with the showing of the film Fighting the Silence. http://www.ifproductions.nl/fightingthesilence/ This is a very frank and honest exploration of the issue of sexual violence against women and children in DRC. We showed it to approximately 25 children from Kimbilio and the wider community who entered readily into the ensuing discussion. The film is aptly titled as this is a reality in Congo that is rarely debated and it was a very useful exercise to do with the use of such an informed and well produced film. This film is readily available for others to show across DRC. If you are interested in using it give me a shout and I'll put you in touch with the promoters.
