In 1965 there were trains running once a week between Lubumbashi and Dilolo (border town with Angola) according to my Aunt, who arrived in Congo that year, the same year that Mobutu Sese Seko took power in the country he was to exploit until 1997. Now there is a train on that route once every 3 months. Last year, Soeur Terese, a Belgium nun working in Congo since 1955, now in her 80's took the train back to her home in Dilolo, the journey of approx 500 miles took 14 days. bonjour ,je m appelle Mr.OMBENI MUKUNDA alias bob swedy gondwana OKAPI et je suis un refugie congolais democrate vivant en afrique du sud en tant que musicien ,analyste politiqueet aussi un flag administrator.Pour ce concerne la vie a LUBUMBASHI je peux seulement dire qu il faut d abord penser a valoriser la GECAMINES en doublant la capacite des MACHINES a traiter les minerais pour ainsi dire,faire recours aux belligerants pour la notation des instuments nacessaire pour que la production double ou triple dand les trois ou quatre ans a venir et aussi faire de sorte que les boulangeries fonctionnent bien pour entamer la campagne,UN CONGOLAIS ,UN PAIN CHAQUE MATIN et on pourra prendre l elan par ce pas.
